After overseeing the introduction of the new wood trophies in 2024, the client asked us to further adapt the Tūī for the awards’ 60th anniversary edition.

The 2024 trophies are made entirely of native tōtara, the most chiefly of trees which can be viewed as representing everything that roots us, anchors us, identifies us and locates us in te ao Māori. Guided by the Diamond Anniversary, the wooden ‘legs’ of the 2025 trophies flow seamlessly into an iridescent resin body echoing a blue-sh diamond colouring, as well as the green hue designed to represent sacred pounamu.
